Wine Tour of Bodegas El Lagar de Isilla; experience the grape harvest first-hand!
Founded by Ignacio Segovia, The Wine Bus takes groups of up to 20 people on day trips to wineries around Madrid every Saturday. And as its name entails, passengers are welcome to drink as much as they like, because someone else is driving. The Wine Bus picks you up at Hotel Claridge (Plaza de Conde de Casal) in Madrid at 9:30 a.m. and drops you off in the same spot at 8:30 p.m. On these tours, you’ll enjoy learning how the wine is made, the stories behind the wineries and of course, taste different wines and eat a great meal, too!
Sat. Oct. 25th, El Lagar de Isilla & Aranda de Duero:
On Saturday, October 25th, The Wine Bus is going to El Lagar de Isilla winery to experience the grape harvest (vendimia) first hand! Whether this is your first visit to a winery or your tenth, you will surely love it. First you’ll taste different types of grapes and wines at different stages of the elaboration process, some straight from the barrels. Then you’ll taste the final product (from the bottles) and pair it with fruit and chocolate. After the winery visit, the bus will take you to Aranda de Duero for tapas and more wine, plus a guided tour of the town’s 15th & 16th Century wine cellar caves.
Booking Details:
Price of the trip is 59€ (transport included) + 20€ for lunch.
