To add to the madness of Madrid Beer Week (Nov. 21-30), Cervercería L’Europe is holding its very own craft beer festival weekend. Located near metro Bilbao, Cervecería L’Europe is one of Madrid’s best German bars, serving a wide range of beers and good food, too (got to love that sausage…)

In fact, this bar is the favorite of one of our friends, Nacho, who runs an international beer shop in Chueca, La Buena Cerveza. Also, one of our writers who’s a big beer fan, Alex, included Cercervería L’Europe in his series on best craft beer bars in Madrid: Beer State of Mind in Madrid and A Heightened Beer State of Mind in Madrid

As you may have already noticed, Madrid has a thriving pop-up events culture including markets, restaurants, shows, and more. On this occasion, we’re looking at #TheHovse 2014, hosted by La Vermutería, a travelling vermouth bar, and Better Es Mejor, an agency that is also currently organizing The Table, a pop-up restaurant at Hotel Urso.

Open from 12pm-9pm and located in a “house” on Calle General Arrando 40, you should pop up for some vermouth, tapas and music spun by a live DJ. It’ll be here until December 24th but it’s looking pretty packed already, so go!

Every Thursday, you have a great excuse to get out of the house and enjoy some of the best Italian food that Madrid has to offer. And if you don’t believe me,  then just ask the Italians at the restaurant!

The Italian café in Malsaña, Aio, organizes Thursday ‘aperaios’ —  5€ all-you-can-eat Italian buffet serving delicious pasta, rice, crostini, and more. It’s simply a Sardinian paradise!

Beerlingual is a free, international pub quiz held every Thursday night from 9pm-11pm at Cervecería La Espuma in La Latina (c/ Arganzuela, 1). This fun event brings locals and visitors from around the world together to meet new people, make friends, practice languages, win prizes and have a good time.

The event is run by the “Quiz Master” who asks questions in both English and Spanish, covering popular culture, tourism, music, cinema, and an array of other topics. The winners will be awarded prizes!
