Madrid Gay Pride 2015 – Madrid Orgullo 2015

Madrid has one of the greatest and most popular gay pride parties in the world. This doesn’t come as a big surprise if you take into account that Spain is the world’s most gay-friendly country and also one that loves to party… outside. This year’s Orgullo festivities will run for four days, from July 1-4, and include a number of activities. Our favorite is always the “high heels” race on Thursday, July 2nd, where brave men put on crazy high heels and race down Calle Pelayo.

The heart of the event will take place in Plaza de Chueca, where you’ll find plenty of concerts and people drinking outside. The main parade will take place on Saturday, July 4th at 6:30pm – party buses will ride along Paseo de Recoletos and La Castellana until they reach Plaza de Colon. The whole area will be crowded with thousands and thousands of people.

Other main squares to check out are Plaza de Callao, la Luna and del Rey, which will all be jam-packed with parties and activities.

You can find out about all the event details on the English webpage here
