Jazz up your Sunday evening with a night of live comedy, improv and games at 7pm at Beer Station, brought to you by the guys at Freshly Comedy, one of Madrid’s first English-language comedy groups. Their 90-minute show, Freshly Squeezed, consists of half improv and half stand-up. It’s now in its 6th season and rated 9.1/10 by audience members on atrapalo.com!
To celebrate the group’s last show of 2015, this Sunday they’re bringing in star guest Juan Solo, an accomplished Spanish comedian, actor, director, and novelist who hosted his own late night on Spain’s Paramount Comedy channel!
Check out J&J’s Friday night pub quiz where you can play in teams of 4 and win a cash prize. J&J is a bookstore/coffee shop where you can find thousands of English-language books downstairs. Up at the bar, you can get craft beer, wine, coffee, bagels and other things to munch on.

Beerlingual is a free, international pub quiz held every Thursday night from 9pm-11pm at Cervecería La Espuma in La Latina (c/ Arganzuela, 1). This fun event brings locals and visitors from around the world together to meet new people, make friends, practice languages, win prizes and have a good time.
The event is run by the “Quiz Master” who asks questions in both English and Spanish, covering popular culture, tourism, music, cinema, and an array of other topics. The winners will be awarded prizes!

The world-famous Holi Run, a 5k urban race where everyone throws multi-colored powder all over each other, is holding its 4th edition in Madrid on Sunday, Apr. 12th. To participate, sign up here. It will cost 17€/person.
